LiquidGym has worked alongside health organisations, charities and community groups across Ottawa — hosting events, providing space, and building programmes together.
From designated exercise programmes to shared clinic space and joint education events, LiquidGym works closely with leading health organisations across the region.
LiquidGym is a Heart Wise Exercise designated facility.
LiquidGym provided space to the Arthritis Society as a satellite clinic location, delivering therapy services to residents in the west end of Ottawa. Over the years we have run a number of events with them, both fundraising and educational.
In partnership with the Heart and Stroke Foundation, LiquidGym hosted Canada’s first underwater duathlon, which included running on underwater treadmills and underwater bikes.
LiquidGym hosted an open house for Parkinson Canada introducing water and land-based exercise programmes for neurological conditions, and has taken part in education seminars and on-site Alinker demonstrations. Team LiquidGym was involved in numerous Lap The Gats fundraising events in the Gatineau Park.
LiquidGym has worked with Diabetes Canada on workshops and seminars, both at the clinic and at various expos.
LiquidGym was involved in educational expos hosted by MS Canada at their location, providing an opportunity to connect with the MS community and share information about exercise, movement, and the role of physical activity in supporting health and mobility.
Exercise is Medicine Canada encourages primary care physicians and other healthcare providers to include physical activity in treatment plans, and to refer patients to credentialed exercise and health fitness professionals.
LiquidGym has hosted a continuing education training event for physicians on the benefits of exercise and aquatic therapy.
LiquidGym shows up for its community — at charity rides, accessibility events, fundraisers and open houses across Ottawa and the Gatineau.
LiquidGym was one of the first companies in Canada to bring the Alinker three-wheeled walking bike to Ottawa, offering training, Alinker events and sales.
Over the years, LiquidGym also participated in the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend 2 km event with a team of 50 Alinker bikers and developed the online video series Alinker Academy, which is now the primary fitness and training resource under Alinker Canada.
LiquidGym partnered with the Royal Canadian Legion and the South Nepean Satellite Community Health Centre on the Bells Corners Winter-Fit Project.
LiquidGym has been the therapy tent for THE RIDE participants from 2014 to 2023, supporting their on-site therapy needs. At the 2019 event LiquidGym introduced a one-kilometre Alinker route, with 50 Alinkers taking part.
LiquidGym takes part in March of Dimes Open Doors events in Ottawa, and hosts an open house to launch their fundraising initiatives.
